A FIRST CLASS TRADITIONAL RULER, CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY, YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS, COMMUNITY LEADERS, POLITICAL GLADIATORS AND OPINION MOULDERS MAKES THE LIST OF 80s CONNECT AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2025
The organizers of 80s Connect Award of Excellence has rolled out the list of year 2025 Awardees and special members of the club to be honored at their end of the year Gala and Award Night program in December.
According to the Press Statement made available to our reporter in Lokoja by the Chairman of the Award Committee, this year’s award presentation ceremony will feature the Special recognition of 8 members of the club in three categories. Those on the list of category one to be honored are Honourable Teejay Yusuf and Rt. Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole. They will be honored for successfully completed their tenure of office without blemish. While Hon. Teejay Yusuf served the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency for 12 uninterrupted years, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole was the Speaking Speaker of Kogi state House of Assembly for 6 years and they both brought development to their various constituencies. We are proud of them for being members of 80s Connect Club.
The list of the Second Category of our members to be honored are those who retired from public Service after 35 years of meritorious services to the Nation. On this list are Comptroller Ifedapo Osewolo, (Nigeria Immigration Service) Mr. Kolade Otitonaiye (NNPC) Mr. Martins Idowu Awuto (NNPC) Mr. Molu Dada (Kwara State Government)

The third category of the club’s members to be honored are those who secured appointment recently. In this category, we have Barrister Samuel Jaiye Ajayi who is the current Special Adviser on Legal Matters to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and High Chief Henry Tolufashe, the National Publicity Secretary of Kabba Development Union (KDU)
The Award Committee generally believed that Charity begins at home’ hence the need to look inward and honor our members.
Going forward, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Muyiwa Ibeun, the Elulu of Mopa kingdom will be honored along with captain of industry, Opinion Moulders, Young Entrepreneurs, Community Leaders and political gladators.
On the list of the Awardees are Elder Benjamin Olowodola, Engr. Olumoroti George Olusola, His Excellency, Olayinka Braimoh, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, Engr. This year’s award presentation ceremony promise to be entertaining, electrifying and superlative when compared with the previous Award presentation ceremonies conducted by the Club.
