Abinu Empowers Over 100 Lokongoma Residents, Urges Support for APC
More than 100 residents of Lokongoma community in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State have benefited from an empowerment scheme facilitated by renowned philanthropist, Ambassador Gabriel Abinu.
The initiative is aimed at providing economic relief to beneficiaries and ensuring that Abinu’s philanthropic interventions make meaningful impacts at the grassroots.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Amb. Abinu said his passion for touching lives was driven by his commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable members of society.
Represented by Comrade Shaibu Shaibu Bello, the philanthropist recalled several interventions he had undertaken across Lokoja and its environs, including women and youth empowerment programmes, free scholarship schemes for students, the provision of boreholes and other initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of ordinary citizens.
“We are doing this not for political gains or with expectations of anything in return. It has always been part of our commitment to changing the lives of vulnerable people in society. By the special grace of Almighty Allah, we will not stop. It has become part of our daily routine to put smiles on the faces of our people, regardless of the financial burden,” he said.
While appreciating the people of Lokongoma for the confidence reposed in him and their support for his philanthropic activities, Amb. Abinu urged them to reciprocate the gesture by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels of government.
He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, deserved another term in office, citing what he described as their impressive performances.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo are doing well for us, and it is our responsibility to reciprocate these gestures by re-electing them for another term in office.
“I urge everyone in Lokongoma community to vote for the APC from top to bottom. As grassroots mobilisers, we will continue to canvass support among our constituents to ensure that the APC records a resounding victory across the board,” he stated.
