Afizere Youth Movement Van Inaugurates New Officials

The Afizere Youth Movement (AYM) Van Chapter, located in one of the eight villages of Gwafan/Nukpis District in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, has inaugurated its new executives. The ceremony, held on Saturday, was attended by members of the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) and other dignitaries.
Barrister Naanlong Muopshin, the oath commissioner, charged the new executives to be loyal to the movement’s constitution and constituted authorities.
Outgoing Chairman Comrade Izang Ajik highlighted his achievements, including the purchase of two plots of land and securing scholarships for two youths to pursue university education.
New Chairman Comrade Shalom Atsen pledged to foster unity among the village’s youths, break barriers, and build bridges through sporting events, social gatherings, and open dialogue.
He also promised to advocate for youth empowerment and lobby for developmental projects through skill acquisition.
The event featured goodwill messages from notable dignitaries, including Retired Reverend Samuel Atu, Comrade Ishaya Ashom Atsi, Village Head of Van Adagwom Ishaya Kaze, Hon. Vincent Nyam, Hon. Elijah Itsegok Azi, and Mr. Augustine Agwom, among others.
The ceremony was also treated to a spectacular performance by the Asharwa dancers from Gwash District.
