AFON COMMUNITY PRAISES PRESIDENT TINUBU, GOV. ABDUL RASAQ,ASA COUNCIL BOSS OVER PROJECTS
The People of Afon, headquarters of Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State have commended Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara State over the installation of Solar Street Lights in all the township roads in Afon, by Asa Local Government Council headed by Alhaji Shehu Yahaya.
The affected roads are George Innih road, Post Office Road, Oloyin Road, Mogaji Ngeri road, Alakara road and Eleyele road.
A Statement signed by an Afon Community Leader, Alhaji Yissa Amosa Alagbade on behalf of the District Head of Afon, Alhaji Hanafi Kola Balogun and Mogaji of Afon, Alhaji Ibrahim Adebayo Mogaji, said the completion of the street lights project by Asa Local Government Council has significantly enhanced the security and socio- economic transformation of the headquarters of the Local Government Council.
The Afon Community Leader described the election of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya as Executive chairman as apt, pointing out that he is a round peg in a round hole, who within a short period of time has made significant milestone in turning the lives of the people of the area for good.
Alhaji Yissa Alagbade also applauded Governor Abdul Razaq and President Tinubu for the execution of numerous federal and state government projects, in Asa Local Government Area, especially the on going multi billionaire Eiyenkorin- Afon- Offa- Odo Otin road project and assured the present All Progressives Congress led administration of the unflinching support of the entire people of Asa Local Government Area.
He then appealed to government to reconstruct Ganmo- Afon Road, complete the abandoned Afon- Aboto- Oyo state boundary road project by the Federal Government, to fast track socio- economic emancipation of the people of the area.
The Afon Community Leader while also praising the National Assembly for conducting a Public Hearing on a Bill seeking to establish Federal College of Education in Afon, sponsored by Muktair Tolani Sagaya representing Ilorin West/ Asa Federal Constituency, called for its quick final passage, to further increase rural dwellers’ access to qualitative education in Nigeria.
