Says story of recall being bankrolled is her usual way of sending out false narration…
A prominent member of the Kogi Central Senatorial district championing the recall of the suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has said the main reason why they want the embattled Senator recalled as a Senator representing the zone is due to what he called national embarrassment and empty display of ego that has brought public opprobrium to the entire people of the senatorial district.
Comrade Ivava Bello who was on the popular Channels Television, Politics Today program with with Seun Okinbaloye says the people are left with no option than to recall her to forestall worse tendencies that could further embarrass the people.
Comrade Ivava Bello who signed the recall letter accompanying the sacks full of documents containing signature of over two hundred and fifty Kogi Central Senatorial district constituents further explained that the Senator whom they overwhelmingly voted for has lost track, abandoned the cause of her representation and now chasing self agenda rather than championing the cause of the people for federal government attention, infrastructure development and job security for the teaming youth of the senatorial district.
He describes Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as a woman who came to the people with strong appeal which prompted the people to see her as someone who had the ability to represent their interests, he however said the last two years has shown that she lack the maturity, the emotional intelligence and concentration to represent the people.
He said the Senator has shown that she is representing external interests different from what her people dearly need at this time. He further argued that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has represented her business interests and that of her husband more than the interests of the people who voted her.
Mr Ivava further maintained that the people of Kogi Central are disappointed in her and regretting ever changing a performing Senator for a woman who is engrossed in personal inordinate ambition ahead of the ambitions of the downtrodden in Kogi Central.
Comrade Bello Ivava says what led to her unfortunate suspension was a mere sitting arrangement disagreement that was easily resolvable and could have been managed if not for empty ego and over bloated self worth that has now made the people to be at the receiving end by not having a representative in the upper legislative chamber due to her avoidable suspension as a Senator.
He blame the actions of the Senator on careless arrogance and lack of ability to factor the very essence of voting her as a Senator into consideration before taking such an ignoble and condemnable action that have landed her people into this needless quagmire.
He said based on this fact, the people have no choice than the option of recall so as to correct the bad name she has given the people of the senatorial district. He said their people are respectful, responsible and decorous, that the action of the senator has brought them into disrepute, global shame and created an impression of violence, disrespect for constituted authority and shamelessness for her people before the general public following the matter since it began.
While responding to allegations of sponsorship by external forces for the recall, Mr Ivava said the crowd that came out were organic and not bankrolled by anyone.
He attributed the news of imaginary sponsorship to part of the Senator Natasha’s antics to lie, spread falsehoods and promote propaganda in order to confuse the unsuspecting public to secure their sympathy. He challenged her to come out with incontrovertible evidence to back up the claims of the recall being sponsored.
He said they are not deterred by the blackmail stating that it will not demoralize them but rather encourage them to end representation of a liar, serial blackmailer and propaganda spinner.
On the issue of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Comrade Ivava said they are less concerned until she comes with verifiable proof of sexual harassment, stating that they would all come out to support her if the claims can be backed with evidence.
He said they have had too much of her accusing people of sexual harassment.
He said she has accused former Governor Yahaya Bello, Senator Dino Melaye and former Presidential aide Reno Omokri all of which went unsubstantiated, signaling that this allegation may also be like all the previous cases she carelessly alleged.
He said they are not completely dismisssing her allegation but they have to be cautious not to get involved in matter that may end up like the other cases she claimed too.
