Akpovoka Should Stop Maligning the Working Governor, While Playing the Bidding of His Pay Masters
— Hon. Francis Obule

Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Comrade Francis Obule (JP), has taken a firm stand against what he described as the “ill-advised and self-serving political posturing” of Mr. Julius Akpovoka, warning him and his sponsors to desist from maligning the performing Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, whose MORE Agenda has become a model of progressive governance in Delta State.
Speaking with newsmen in Warri, Comrade Francis Obule cautioned Akpovoka to exercise restraint and avoid premature political ambition, stressing that the zoning arrangement in Delta State remains sacrosanct and that Governor sheriff Oborevwori like other Governors before him in the spirit and letter of equity should continue his second tenure come 2027
Going down the memory lane Obule emphasized saying :
“In the political history of Delta State since 1999, no Governor has ever served one term, “It is, therefore, politically immature and morally wrong for anyone to be talking about a change of guard in 2027 when the current Governor has not even completed his first term. Delta State is not a playground for political experiments.”
Hon Comrade Francis Obule the Senior Political Aide maintained that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has demonstrated uncommon commitment to equity, inclusiveness, and result-oriented governance. He noted that the governor’s MORE Agenda—which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security—is already yielding visible dividends across all sectors of the state.
“From the construction of landmark roads and bridges to the empowerment of youths, women, and farmers, Oborevwori has proven to be a people-centered leader, “So why distract such a focused governor with baseless political agitation? The truth is that those pushing Akpovoka are only doing so to advance their selfish interests at the expense of Delta’s stability.”
Even if Akpovoka or anyone else has the ambition to contest, as Delta State Governor they must wait for their time,” Obule said pointedly. “Only God knows who will still be alive and politically relevant by 2047 when it will be the turn of Delta Central again to Produce a Governor for the state, but Until then, the best thing every genuine Deltan should do is to support His Excellency ,Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to succeed as a result oriented Governor to achieve the full potential of the MORE Agenda.
Hon Comr Francis Obule, who is known for his grassroots mobilization and unwavering loyalty to the APC-led administration, declared emphatically that “there is no vacancy in Government House, Asaba, come 2027.”
He further warned that those using Akpovoka as a political pawn should have a rethink and align themselves with the realities of governance and development under Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who have surpassed the expectations of many Deltans who under estimated his capacity to build a mega Delta doted with flyovers constructed by Julius Berger which is the leading road builder in Nigeria.
The SSA lauded Governor Oborevwori for bringing uncommon peace and development to Delta State, urging all political actors to close ranks and work with the administration for the greater good of the state.
He pointed out : “Instead of being misled by political jobbers, Akpovoka should stop maligning the working Governor and join the moving train of progress powered by the MORE Agenda.”
“Governor Oborevwori is a unifier, a bridge-builder, and a silent achiever, those who are genuinely interested in the development and Progress of Delta state have no time to be involved in the business of diversionary politics like Akpovoka and his cohorts, Obule concluded. “
