Amina Jane Mohammed; A Visionary Diplomat @65

For Amina Jane Mohammed, GCON a Nigerian diplomat who had been at the corridor of global world for over one decade, from her stint at the helm of affairs of Nigeria’s defunct Millennium Development Goals , MDGs now Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs to her appointment as United Nations Deputy -Secretary General UN-DSG, a position she is spending her second term after a distinct performance at the UN.
Before then , the well respected diplomat served as the Minister of Environment under the previous administration untill the global appointment.

Mohammed was recognized on several spheres for her giant strides in managing the affairs of the United Nations since her elevation , a stint which led to her reappointment by the Secretary General, Antonio Guterres after the expiration of her first tenure .
A co-manager of both global and local crises that ranges from political , economic, social and environmental engagements, she has visited both developed, developing and under -developed countries profering solutions and charting a way forward towards managing humanitarian crises.
Her appointment as UN-DSG was another milestone for Nigeria’s diplomatic exposure that attracted series of development in all areas .
She ensured a high level attention to the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, a global program that attracted all round development to the developing and underdeveloped countries, with particular attention and concerns to African countries, with a target of attaining the 2020-2030 agenda as a guide to the emancipation of the needed countries.
With 2020-2030 decade of action, the well known diplomat and Deputy Secretary General UN-DSG mitigated the plights of Africans desiring both long and short terms attention.
Having concentrated in the management of both humanitarian, economic, political among other bedeviling crises , Mohammed earned recognition in several fora, globally and locally for her unreserved attention.
The recent visit to Nigeria, several African countries and others was geared towards economic, political and social advancement of citizens in line with the UN Agenda.
Her achievements in that regard has mitigated all forms of crises bedeviling countries and contributed in no small measures to either resolving or attracting lasting solutions .
With her giant strides in all areas and without mincing words, Mohammed potentials at leading the global body going forward is not in doubt , having contributed and achieved greatly in the development of the United Nations General Assembly UNGA close to a decade.
Her likely elevation in the next dispensation will detonate gender inequality away from performance, gender parity as a guide to human emancipation.
Amina J. Mohammed who is 65 years today, Saturday,June ,27, 2026, no doubt deserved accolade from her giant strides in recent times to human and social development .
While wishing her many more years in her service to humanity, fatherland, we prayed for more wisdom, enability, ability to continue in that trend .
