APC stalwart from Ajaokuta LGA, Lauds Governor Ododo’s appeal court victory
—says judgment reflects the wish of Kogi people
A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), from Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Comrade Abdulraheem Okekenu has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his landslide victory at the appeal court as the validly elected Governor of Kogi State during the November 11 governorship election in the state.
The Activist and social crusader who noted that the victory was justified and expected, given the massive votes he received across the three senatorial districts, said the judgement has clearly demonstrated that the judiciary still remains the hope of the common man
While maintaining that Governor Ododo will deliver the good dividends of democracy to the people, he noted that he is already building on the legacies of his predecessor, former Governor Yahaya Bello.
Comrade Okekenu called on the people of the state to continue to support the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to enable him take the state to the next level of development.
While commending stakeholders and supporters who work tirelessly to actualize the victory, he assured that on his part , he will continue to give the needed support to the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in his drive to bring accelerated development to the state.
“The Governor is already on the right track. We can see what he doing across the state through his inclusive governance and equitable distribution of the resources of the state. The civil servants both at the state and local government are happy. He is a unifier . I’m confident that he will sustain this spirit.
According to him, the governor has started well on a good note by ensuring the completion of all ongoing Projects and initiation of new ones and commended the governor for being proactive in the area of security of lives and property, particularly the recent rescue of the kidnapped students of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.
He particularly commended the Accountant General of the state, Hajia Habibat Onumoko for her tireless effort to make the Ododo governorship a reality and urged her to sustain her good work.
Similarly he commended stakeholders from Ajaokuta LGA, for their unwavering support to the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He called on the people of Kogi East who by historical evidence are brothers of the Ebira people to eschew the present acrimony to ensure a harmoniums co-existence in the state, for more development and Unity of purpose.
He called on the opposition candidates in the state to join hands with the governor to build a better Kogi state that will benefit the entire people of the state.
