ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY: KOGI HOLDS INTER-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH SERVICE
The Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Sunday led Christian faithful in the state to the Interdenominational Church Service in commemoration of the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance in the State at St. Joseph Military Catholic Church, 12 Brigade Chari Maigumeri Barracks, Lokoja, today 12th January, 2025.
The church service is among the lined up activities as the nation remembers her fallen heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the peace and unity of Nigeria.
The Governor, who was represented by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), Said that the nation must continue to appreciate of those that laid their lives for the peace being enjoyed in the country today.
According to him, the Armed Forces remain a beacon of hope for the unity of Nigeria, adding that Government and people of Kogi State will remain generous to the members of the legion, families of fallen heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice while supporting those still in the service to continue to keep the peace of the nation.
He commended the doggedness and synergy of security agencies in the discharge of their duties, and thanked them for the peace maintained in the Kogi State.
The Commander 12 Brigade, Maj Gen. OA. Fadairo in his message, said the Armed Forces is committed to the peace of the nation. He urged officers and men of the 12 Brigade to continue to give their best in the discharge of their duties.
He commended Governor Ododo for his support to the Armed Forces and other security agencies in the State which has resulted in the relative peace currently being enjoyed in Kogi state.
In his message, Capt. (Rev) JB Gana, said Christian must hold firm to their faith in God Almighty, adding that It’s only God that is supporting the Armed Forces in winning the war against banditry and terrorism in the country.
Special prayers led by Capt. (Rev Fr). EO Achadu was offered for the nation, it’s leadership, armed forces, fallen heroes, and those still in the service.
