Abuja, Sunday 26th July 2026.
In a strategic move to consolidate party strength and secure victory for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections, the leadership of the Audu/Faleke political family held a high level meeting in Abuja on Sunday.
The meeting had in attendance of Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Leader of the Audu/Faleke political family in Kogi State and Head of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Re-election Structure. Also in attendance were Prof. Daniel Isa, former Director General(DG) of the Audu/Faleke Campaign Council in 2015 and Hon. Emmanuel Ekele, a respected stakeholder from Kogi East.
The core of the deliberation focused on mobilizing total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensuring that APC emerges victorious with all its candidates across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State in 2027.
The leaders resolved to prioritize unity within the Audu/Faleke family by reconciling with all loyal members and welcoming back those willing to return, in order to present a united and formidable political front. They also agreed to immediately activate a broad based grassroots mobilization structure across Kogi East, Kogi West and Kogi Central to drive voter sensitization, registration and turnout for the party.
Rt. Hon. Faleke commended the Minister of Steel Development for his firm commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, particularly his efforts toward the revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, which was described as a critical national asset for industrial growth and job creation.
In his remarks, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu pledged to sustain the legacy of his late father, Prince Abubakar Audu, by continuing to work for the progress of Kogi State and its integration into a prosperous Nigeria.
The meeting ended with a strong declaration that Kogi State remains firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
