Ethnic-driven attacks on Tompolo to Truncate Pipeline Surveillance in Urhobo Territories

Bomadi, Delta State – July 10, 2025
We, the leadership and operatives of the Bomadi and Ohoro Tantita Surveillance Unit, write with deep disappointment and justifiable outrage over the recent shameful, treacherous, and ethnic-driven attacks orchestrated by some expired, power-drunk Itsekiri leaders who are hell-bent on crippling the patriotic work of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in Urhobo territories.

According to Mr. Tupac Kelvin Ayemi, Coordinator of the Bomadi/Ohoro Tantita Unit,
> “What we are witnessing is not about ward delineation in Warri Federal Constituency — that’s just a shallow and deceptive excuse. This is a desperate attempt by those whose illegal oil bunkering empires have been destroyed by Tantita to regroup and retaliate.”
Comrade Amb. Awipi Lawson, the Secretary General of the Unit, added that
> “These same individuals, whose wealth is drenched in crude oil theft and blood money, can no longer operate their backdoor pipelines because Tantita has blocked every channel of sabotage. Now they are using the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) as a political pawn to push their selfish agenda.”
Comrade Jackson Agbor, the spokesman of the Unit, questioned the UPU’s sudden concern:
> “Where was UPU when thousands of Urhobo youths gained legitimate employment through Tantita? Where was UPU when oil thieves were bleeding the nation dry, and it was only Tantita standing up against them?”
The Unit’s Treasurer, Comrade Bekes Pigha, expressed dismay at what he described as “a calculated attempt to divide ethnic nationalities who should be working together to protect the nation’s economic lifeline.” He emphasized that the achievements of Tantita under Tompolo in curbing crude oil theft are undeniable and nationally recognized.
Hon. Okilo Jack, the Unit’s Organizing Secretary, called on the Federal Government and security agencies to disregard these mischief-makers hiding under ethnic and community platforms to launch personal vendettas. He warned that any attempt to revoke or manipulate Tantita’s contract would only embolden criminal cartels and destabilize national security.
Echoing similar sentiments, Amb. Okporu Augustine declared that
> “No amount of blackmail, propaganda, or ethnic diversion will derail the genuine efforts of Tantita Security Services. We stand solidly behind Tompolo and his vision to sanitize the oil-rich Niger Delta region.”
We, the Bomadi/Ohoro Tantita Unit, therefore advised those few and expired Itsekiri leaders fanning the flames of ethnic tension and sponsoring underhanded campaigns to retrace their steps immediately. Enough is enough, the statement concluded.
