Details of the intent letter below

CALL TO DESTINY — A MESSAGE TO ALL LAGELU INDIGENES, HOME AND ABROAD

Dear Esteemed Members of Lagelu Indigenes Club (LIC),

KEHINDE AKINPELU

I am Chief Honourable, Olayinka Akintola Oladimeji Segelu — son of the soil, son of a hero, and a proud descendant of Lagelu whose legacy of service flows through my veins.

Today, I come before you not only as a son of Ibadanland, but as a man of purpose, vision, and tested commitment — stepping forward to lead our beloved Oyo State into a new era of unity, innovation, and inclusive development.

My father, the late Hon. Olusegun Oladimeji Segelu, served the people of Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency with unwavering dedication until his life was tragically cut short in the course of duty. His legacy laid the foundation for my own journey — one that has taken me through the National Assembly, private enterprise, and service to communities at home and abroad.

But now, the time has come. With humility and courage, I have declared my ambition to contest for Governor of Oyo State in 2027 under the banner of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This is not just a personal ambition — it is a collective call to greatness. And I cannot do it without you — the strong and proud voices of Lagelu Indigenes Club, both at home and in the diaspora.
I stand for:

Accessible education and jobs for all.

Empowerment of women and youth across our LGAs.

Modern infrastructure, agriculture, and digital innovation.

Transparent governance that respects every citizen.

As your brother, your son, your friend, I humbly seek your support, your blessing, your endorsement — to bring honour to Lagelu and progress to Oyo State.

Together, we can write a new chapter. A chapter where Lagelu rises again — not just in name, but in leadership and legacy.

Let us rally as one. Let our voice be heard across Oyo State. Let our unity become victory.

Ẹ jẹ́ ká fi orúkọ rere Lagelu jókòó lórí itẹ́ aṣeyọrí.

With faith, courage, and unwavering hope,
I remain yours in service,

Chief Hon. Olayinka Akintola Oladimeji Segelu
