CP NAZIRU BELLO KANKAROFI, psc, mni, DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED CHIEF SUPERINTENDENTS OF POLICE, HARPS ON PROFESSIONALISM, COMMITMENT AND DISCIPLINE
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has decorated newly promoted officers of the Command with the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), in a brief but dignified ceremony held at the Command Headquarters, Lokoja.
The decoration was conducted by the Commissioner of Police and members of the Command Management Team, alongside the families of the promoted officers, who were present to witness and share in this important career milestone.
Addressing the officers, CP Kankarofi congratulated them on their well-deserved promotion, describing it as a recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices during their years of service in their former ranks. He commended their commitment to duty and their contributions to the operational successes recorded by the Command. The newly promoted officers include, CSP Sunday Peter Oguche, DPO ‘D’ Division Lokoja, CSP Alozie Chukwuemaka, DPO Ayetoro-Gbede, CSP Felix Adjarho, DPO Dekina, CSP Aye Enejo, DPO Odolu, CSP Sani Yahaya, DPO Koton-karfe, CSP Gabriel Friday, DPO Okehi Divisions respectively.
The Commissioner of Police reminded the newly promoted officers that elevation in rank comes with increased responsibility and expectations. He encouraged them to demonstrate greater commitment, leadership, discipline, and renewed zeal in the discharge of their duties, stressing that higher ranks demand increased accountability and service to the people of Kogi State.
CP Kankarofi further appreciated the promoted officers for the support, cooperation, and contributions they have extended to him since his assumption of duty as the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, noting that teamwork, loyalty, and professionalism remain critical to sustaining security and public confidence across the State.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Alozie Chukwuemaka thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, and the Chairman, Police Service Commission, (PSC) DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), mni, psc, for finding them worthy of the elevation. He assured that they will double their efforts to measure up to the added responsibility on their shoulders. He appreciated the leadership style of the Commissioner of Police, stressing that they will continue to do their best to make Kogi State the safest in Nigeria.
The Kogi State Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to professionalism, capacity building, and the promotion of merit, as it continues to work diligently towards the protection of lives and property throughout the State.
