KOGI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE

CP NAZIRU BELLO KANKAROFI, psc, mni RECEIVES THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION, LOKOJA BRANCH, TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION TOWARDS ENHANCING JUSTICE DELIVERY IN KOGI STATE

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, received the executive members of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Lokoja Branch, to strengthen partnership and collaboration. The visit aimed to promote justice, rule of law, and public safety through effective policing.

The CP emphasized the importance of synergy between law enforcement and the legal community. He pledged to ensure transparency, professionalism, and collaboration with zero tolerance for police misconduct. He further acknowledged the NBA’s crucial role in facilitating criminal justice administration and urged them to visit detention facilities to monitor conditions. He emphasized the need for information sharing and cooperation to prevent crime commission.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Lokoja Branch, AS Abbas Esq., commended the CP on the ongoing efforts in the fight against crime and criminality in the State. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between the Police and NBA. He urged for cooperation between the Human Rights Committee of NBA and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the command. He assured the NBA’s commitment to cooperate with the Police command to ensure smooth administration of justice.

The visit marked a significant step towards enhancing justice delivery and promoting a safer community in Kogi State.
