Hon. Leke Abejide Moved A Motion Of Urgent Public Importance To Rescue The Congregants Abducted In Ejiba Yagba West By Terrorists.
The member representing Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide has raised a motion of urgent public importance on the abduction of worshipers in Ejiba including the Presiding Pastor, who were abducted at their place of worship on Sunday 30th November, 2025.
“It has become a daily occurrence in Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro to the extent that our people could no longer sleep in their homes, the situation is now worse as they cannot go to farm and go about their daily activities this is disastrous and as such needs urgent attention than ever before”. He stated that worshipers were abducted in broad daylight and among those abducted was a two-week-old baby. Another critical situation of Mr Tuesday Omokore, his wife, and children who were abducted at Idofin Isanlu, are still in captivity of the bandits; noting that nobody knows their whereabouts and conditions in the den of the terrorists”.
Hon. Leke Abejide noted that the factors fuelling insecurity and kidnapping are the deplorable condition of the Kabba to Egbe Road which makes it easy for the terrorists to waylay commuters and abduct them. In most parts of the Roads, the leg is faster than a motor vehicle! Recently, he moved a motion for a specially designed Road construction model for Kabba town to Egbe town, which is just about 70 Kilometres or less, due to the heavy traffic of Dangote Cement, Mangal Cement, and BUA Cement’s overweight trailers that exceed 30,000 Trailers operating in that axis daily. He noted that it takes a lot of effort from him and other well-meaning indigenes of Kogi West a lot of efforts to pacify the Youths not to stop Dangote and Mangal Trucks from moving in the Area, as they caused 80% of the damage to our Roads, and critically the Youths are right.

He therefore urged, ALH. ALIKO DANGOTE AND ALH DAHIRU MANGAL to join hands with the Federal Government of Nigeria and get this portion of the Road fixed within two to three months before it gets out of hand whereby the Youths will become uncontrollable. While calling on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to put a stop to all mining activities which are antidotes to attacks fuelled by miners and the Security Chiefs to comb all the forests and rescue the abductees in Ejiba and Idofin from their abductors.
