Hon. Festus Utuama, representative of Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Roseline Emesechovwen, recognizing it as an immense loss to her family, Ewu people, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the entire state.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Utuama conveyed that the void left by her departure would be deeply felt, particularly in light of her significant role within the party.
The late Mrs. Emesechvwe, popularly known as ‘Mama PDP’, demonstrated unwavering dedication as a party member from 1998 until her recent passing.
She also served as a respected representative of Ewu Ward 2 during her tenure as a transition committee member under the governorship of Chief James Onanefe Ibori. Her peaceful passing occurred just a few days ago at the age of 92.
In his prayers for the repose of the late PDP stalwart, the lawmaker sought solace and strength for her family, the people of Ewu, and the constituency as they grapple with this profound loss. “May her soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
