Democracy Newsline Newspaper Honours Dr. Samuel Alori with Community Development Service Award

A Lagos-based medical expert, Dr. Samuel Alori, has been honoured with the Community Development Service Award by DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community growth and humanitarian service.
The award was presented to him at the newspaper’s 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame, held on Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

The event, which marked 27 Years of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria, had the theme: “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigerian Example.”
Presenting the award, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, described Dr. Alori as a committed leader whose selfless service and developmental strides have positively impacted communities across Nigeria.
“Dr. Samuel Alori has distinguished himself through his dedication to community development, youth empowerment, and philanthropy. His interventions have provided relief, opportunities, and hope to many Nigerians, and that is why he is being recognized today,” Chief Femi stated.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Alori expressed gratitude to DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper for the recognition and dedicated the award to the people he serves.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this award. Community development is not just about giving, it is about building people, creating opportunities, and leaving a lasting impact. I will continue to do more for the growth and development of our communities,” he said.
The ceremony also featured a public lecture by renowned policy experts and the induction of other distinguished Nigerians into the _Good Governance Hall of Fame_ for their contributions to democracy, leadership, and national development.
The event was attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, captains of industry, civil society leaders, and community stakeholders from across the country.
