DR. SULEIMAN BAGS IBDFM FELLOWSHIP AWARD.

Dr. Suleiman Abubakar of the Accounts Department of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Universal Basic Education Board (UBE) has been inducted as a Fellow of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Managements (IBDFM).

Dr. Suleiman was inducted at the Institute’s 77th mandatory Continuing Professional Development( MCPD) Investiture of Fellowship and Induction of new Members, with the theme, ” Exploring Investment Opportunities in the Nigerian Capital Market”, Saturday December 7th, 2924, held at the Top View Hotel, NSCDC FCT Command, Wuse Zone 6,Abuja.

The Ceremony attracted Inductees and participants from all walks of life across the Country, both the Public and private sector, Particularly from the academics, as participants all expressed delight to be part of the Institute that has demonstrated unwavering Commitments to academic excellence by ensuring that members are updated with Contemporary business and financial Managements issues in Nigeria.

Speaking to the Media Shortly after he was administered oath of membership, Dr. Suleiman Abubakar said he was elated to be a Fellow of the Institute, stressing that while reading through the Cooperate profile of the Institute, he saw reputable and respected individuals who has made impacts in both the private and public sector of the Country, including the academics, either as member or advisory board members, saying, that alone was a motivation to crave membership of the Institute.

Earlier, in a vote of thanks delivered on behalf of other inductees, the Fellow Cna , csa, imc, Suleiman said the Conferment of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Managements (IBDFM) fellowship Awards on them, should be considered as a task that requires Commitments, hard work and a Calling for Continues demonstration of professionalism and also upholding ethics of a Business Diplomat and Financial Manager, he admonished.

Reacting to question by the media on his position on the tax reform bill that is currently undergoing legislative procedures, which has divided Nigerians along regional lines, Dr. Suleiman said the Government should educate and enlighten Nigerian more on the economic importance of the tax , he said as an expert he felt the tax reform bill seek to benefits the masses more , Particularly the low income earners, but that due to poor enlightenment and awareness some individuals felt it was meant to harm or impoverished them, noting that the tax reform bill was meant to better the lots of the Nigerian masses.
