In a spectacular display of political showmanship, the Director Planning and Research for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign council, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman joins in the official flagged-off campaign ceremony for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Joel Oyibo Salifu at Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja.
The flag-off ceremony for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign candidates held on 8th October, 2023 at Muhammadu Buhari square in Lokoja recorded a resounding success.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the President, the APC National Chairman, and all other dignitaries present at the flag-off ceremony. ‘I am deeply humbled and honored by your presence today and your support and commitment to the success of our party is truly appreciated. Together, we will continue to work hard for the betterment of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole, he avered.
Governor Bello outlined his administration’s achievements in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture and security adding that his government had made great strides in improving the quality of life for Kogi State residents by providing employment opportunities to graduates.
His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shattima, represented President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and officially kicked off the campaign at the Muhammadu Buhari square Lokoja, Kogi State.
He emphasized the importance of working together to build a better future for Kogi State and noted in pigin language ” follow who know road, Ododo sabi road”.
The APC National delegation for Kogi November election led by Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun MRF, admonish the good people of Kogi to obtain and jealously guide their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) which he said is the only instrument to seal the impending victory of the APC in the November 11th election
Earlier, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator. Abdullahi Adamu called for the continuity of the party’s developmental agenda in Kogi State.
Whilst presenting the flag to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, Sen. Adamu stressed the importance of electing candidates who would continue the good work of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, in order to build on the progress that has been made.
‘We need to maintain the momentum of progress, and the best way to do that is to elect candidates who will continue the good work that has been done,’ he said.
The APC candidate Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman echoed his commitment to continuing the progress that has been made under Gov Yahaya Bello administration.
‘I will focus on improving infrastructures, education, healthcare, and security, and I will do everything in my power to make Kogi State a model for development and the president will be proud of their son in Kogi State’, he noted.
He said, APC is Kogi and Kogi is APC just as he thanked the party leadership and the President for their support and commitments to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
I accept the mandate to be the Governor of Kogi state for the greatness and development of our dear state”, he concluded.
The event was attended by the Governor of Kwara state, His Excellency Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman, Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Edward David Onoja, Minister of Steal Development, Prince Shuaibu abubakar, Former members of the National and state assemblies, Former Deputy Governor of the People Democratic Party, Yomi Awoniyi, Dr. Mubarak Abuche of NNPP, Dr. Usman Ogbo and several critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a crowd of thousands, all cheering and waving flags in support of the APC candidates.
