DSP BARAU I. JIBRIN: The Divine Mandate to Rescue and Rebuild Kano State 2027.

By Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu, Northern Bureau Chief
May 21st, 2025

A new dawn is rising over Kano State — a dawn illuminated not just by political promises, but by divine purpose and transformative leadership. In this moment of deep yearning for progress, unity, and redemption, one man stands at the epicenter of hope: Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin.

To many, Senator Barau is a seasoned legislator, a technocrat with proven records. But to the people of Kano, and indeed to Nigeria at large, he is more than that. He is a man on a divine assignment — anointed by destiny to rescue and rebuild Kano State, to restore her dignity and reignite her greatness.

Barau’s journey is not merely political — it is providential. With every bill he sponsors, every constituency he uplifts, and every policy he defends in the Senate, he proves that leadership is not about power — it is about purpose. And that purpose is clear: to bring lasting change, anchored in justice, equity, and development to Kano State.

As we look toward 2027, the stakes could not be higher. Kano, the heartbeat of Northern Nigeria, rich in history and culture, has faced its share of challenges. From dwindling infrastructure to youth unemployment, from insecurity to educational decline — the cries of the people have reached a crescendo. But with Senator Barau I. Jibrin, hope is no longer a distant dream; it is a living promise.

The People’s Leader
Senator Barau is not a man detached from the people. He walks their streets, listens to their stories, and lives their reality. Whether it’s the hardworking farmer in Kura, the determined trader in Sabon Gari, the student in Bayero University, or the woman striving for economic freedom in Bichi — Barau understands their plight and is committed to their progress.

He has proven his capacity in Abuja, standing as a pillar of national unity and effective governance. As Deputy Senate President, his tenure has been marked by maturity, diplomacy, and vision. Yet, his heart remains tethered to Kano — the land that shaped him, the people that trust him, and the future he is ready to rebuild.

Under his mandate, Kano State will witness a renaissance. His blueprint for 2027 and beyond is bold, clear, and people-centered:

He will confront insecurity with bold reforms and strategic partnerships, ensuring that every citizen feels safe in their home and community.

He will overhaul decaying public institutions, especially in health and education, restoring their dignity and efficiency.

He will re-position Kano as a hub for innovation, culture, and commerce — attracting investment, tourism, and global attention.

He will invest in infrastructure, empower local industries, and create jobs — especially for women and youth — laying the foundation for sustainable growth.

This is not just about politics; it is about purpose. 2027 will not be a contest of names, but a calling to choose a future. In Senator Barau I. Jibrin, we are not choosing a candidate — we are answering a divine call.

The people of Kano have been patient. Now, the time has come to rise — not in anger, but in hope. Not in despair, but in unity. Let every ward, every village, every city, echo with one voice: Barau is the Answer.

Let us not wait for the future to find us — let us walk boldly into it, hand in hand with the man whose time has come.

Kano State 2027: With DSP Barau I. Jibrin, the future begins today.
The time is now. The mandate is divine. The mission is clear. The moment is ours.
