10,000 Youths and Women in Niger State to Receive Training in Agriculture and Creative Industry
The Niger State government, in partnership with the Programmes and Partnerships Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, and the Mastercard Foundation, is set to train 10,000 youths, including women aged 18-35, in agriculture and the creative industry, among other sectors.
According to Hauwa Bako, the training aims to ensure human capital development and make beneficiaries self-reliant.
The Programmes and Partnerships Enterprise Development Centre is currently training 50 consultants to be certified as business development service providers for Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises.
He said the beneficiaries will receive support to transition from the informal to the formal sector and showcase their products within and outside Nigeria.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to collaborating with development partners to train youths, women, and people with disabilities.
Special Adviser Hauwa Bako further described the partnership as a commitment to investing in people, especially youths and women, for sustainable development.
