Elder Advisory Council, Angwa Ogebe Community in Ankpa LGA endorse Ododo as the Next Kogi Governor
– as Dr. Ogbo hold special prayers,
Facilitates 25 boreholes, empowers Garba, commission campaign office, distribute food items
The good people of Angwa–Ogebe community in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State have unanimously endorsed the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 11 Governorship election, Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed (OAU).
This was evidently proven on Saturday, 16th September, 2023 during the Dr. Ogbo Support Group’s road walk and sensitization exercise in Angwa Ogebe community in a bid to secure simple majority votes for the APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
The road walk which was organised by Dr. Ogbo support groups saw the convergence of important personalities within the APC family.
The chairman, Elders Advisory Council, Hon. Abdul Umar commended Dr. Ogbo’s continued commitment and drive in Community development, noting that, Angwa Ogebe community will continue to support him and the new direction government just as he reiterated the community’s commitment in Ododo’s project.
The Onu of Ankpa, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulmalik Sulaiman who had received Dr. Ogbo Support Groups in his palace where he stressed that Ebira people are not immigrants, noting that Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello led Administration has demonstrated high level regards to traditional institutions in the state.
The convener Dr. Ogbo’s support groups, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman intimated the gathering about the numerous projects facilitated and completed for Angwa Ogebe community highlighting the 25 community boreholes facilitated for Angwa Ofele Community, Angwa Oforo Community, Angwa Ebitakpa Community, Angwa Ogane Idagbo, Angwa Opulega, Angwa Ede amongst several others within and outside Angwa’s community.
Dr. Usman who used the occasion to empower Mr. Malle Garba for his consistency in supporting the New Direction Government led by Alhaji Yahaya Bello also commissioned two (2) campaign secretariats in Angwa–Ogebe community to help drive the campaign activities of the ruling APC candidate towards acquiring seamless victory at the November poll.
He thanked the people of Angwa Ogebe community and the religious leaders with Angwa’s community for holding special prayers for the party just as he lauded the people of the area for defying the heavy down pour and coming out enmass for the road walk exercise.
Dr. Usman encouraged the people of Angwa community to strive at all levels to ensure victory for APC, reiterating Alhaji Ododo’s commitment to building on the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello that will place Kogi State on a global scale of excellent leadership and development.
In a related development, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman distributed over 150 bags of rice to Angwa Ogebe community, noting that more dividend of democracy will be enjoyed before, during and after Ododo’s victory at the Kogi Governorship election slated for November 11, 2023.
Speaking in turns, the stakeholders of Angwa Ogebe community commended Dr. Usman for employing numerous sons and daughters of the area under the current administration, noting that such recognition deserve their reciprocation at the poll.
Other speakers at the event further voiced their commitment towards ensuring overwhelming victory for the APC and appealed to voters across the wards to mobilise friends, associates and neighbours to ensure smooth victory for the APC in the November 11 election.
Dr. Usman was joined at the event by former Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Rabiu Alfa; Chairman of Idah Local Government, Hon. Abu Udoma; Provost, Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. M.K Ibrahim; Elder Friday Makama and other prominent members of the party.
Highlights of the event captured the overwhelming endorsement of the candidacy of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Joel Oyibo Salifu for the November 11th governorship election and the presentation of merit Award to Dr. Usman for his selfless contributions to educational sector.
