Emmanuel Ajiji Receives Uncle’s Blessings to Vie for State House of Assembly
Maijuju came to a standstill as Hon. Emmanuel Ajiji, flanked by his political associates, stormed his hometown. In line with Afizere tradition, where an uncle’s blessing is essential for good fortune, Hon. Ajiji received blessings from his uncles in Maijuju, Jos East Local Government Area, amid cheers and hope.
It is now official: the stage is set for him to contest for the seat of Member representing Jos East State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Speaking with journalists after the event, the House of Assembly hopeful said unity is one of his priorities, and he will ensure the unity of all citizens irrespective of their district or religion.
He added that both conventional and non-conventional security will receive his support if elected. He will make legislative contributions to the proposed State Police template and play his part in enacting laws that will fast-track its establishment, because security is sacrosanct for the peaceful coexistence and progress of Jos East.
Education, as the bedrock of any meaningful development, will be one of his cardinal objectives, alongside healthcare. Youth and women empowerment will also receive his attention.
Transparency, accountability, and community engagement will take center stage because, according to him, only constant interface with his constituents can enable him to perform oversight, provide effective representation, and make impactful laws.
Hundreds of supporters showed their solidarity, praying for his success at the polls.
