ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi Bags Prestigious Real Estate Leadership and Community Development Service Award

ABUJA — Renowned Estate Surveyor and Valuer, ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi, has been honoured with the ‘Prestigious Real Estate Leadership and Community Development Service Award’ by Democracy Newsline Newspaper for his exceptional contributions to real estate development and grassroots empowerment.
The award was presented to him on Wednesday, 19th August 2026, during the 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame held at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Abuja.
The event, themed “Economic Reforms and Sustainable Development in a Democracy: The Nigerian Experience,” brought together top government officials, traditional rulers, professionals and community leaders from across the country.
Presenting the award, the Publisher of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, described ESV Rotimi as a trailblazer in the real estate sector whose professional excellence and commitment to community development have set a standard for others to follow.
“ESV Olugbenga Collins Rotimi has distinguished himself as a leader in real estate practice and as a bridge between professional service and community impact. His work in housing, property valuation, and youth empowerment has created opportunities and improved livelihoods,” Chief Femi said.
In his acceptance speech, ESV Rotimi dedicated the award to his team, clients, and the communities he serves.
“I receive this award with deep gratitude. Real estate is not just about buildings, it is about creating homes, creating jobs, and creating hope. To whom much is given, much is expected. We will continue to drive ethical practice, affordable housing solutions, and projects that impact our communities,” ESV Rotimi stated.
He commended Democracy Newsline Newspaper for the 16-year consistency in celebrating excellence and good governance in Nigeria.
ESV Rotimi also called for stronger collaboration between government, private sector and professionals to address Nigeria’s housing deficit, especially through policies that support affordable housing and access to land for young Nigerians.
He pledged to continue investing in mentorship programmes for young surveyors and in CSR initiatives that support education, health and skills acquisition in his community.
The ceremony featured a keynote address by Hon. Asiwaju Idris Asiru, Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning. Other dignitaries inducted into the Good Governance Hall of Fame included the Hon. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Senator Sunday Karimi, Hon. Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf, and Hon. Joshua Monday, Chairman of Yagba East LGA.
The event ended with a call on leaders at all levels to ensure that economic reforms translate to tangible benefits for citizens.
