FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO INAUGURATES STRATEGIC COMMITTEE ON NIGER STATE & CANADA PARTNERSHIP
Niger State Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has inaugurated a strategic Committee on Niger State and Canada partnership to further improve already existing relationship between the two parties.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago inaugurated the Committee at the Niger State Governor’s Lodge Abuja with the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mustapha Ndajiwo as Chairman of the Committee.
The setting up of the Committee is a follow up on the outcome of several meetings and engagements the Farmer Governor had during his working visit to Canada in October last year.
The Farmer Governor urged the Committee to act on his visit to Canada which was aimed at forging a mutually beneficial relationship and investment opportunities between Niger State Government and the Canadian public and private organizations.
He charged the Committee members to live up to expectations and deliver on the task ahead of them for the overall growth and development of the State.
This committee with clear terms of reference is to follow up with some of the agreements signed as well as explore the opportunities offered in agriculture, tourism,
education, health & pharmaceuticals during the Farmer Governor’s working visit.
