FEDERAL COLLEGE OF FISHERIES & MARINE TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS BRIGHTTECH RESOURCES LTD FOR AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT PROGRAMME IN KOGI STATE
The Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos, in collaboration with Brighttech Resources Limited, has successfully carried out an empowerment programme for women farmers across the Kabba/Bunu–Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State. The initiative included the distribution of cash support and essential agricultural inputs, such as improved farm seeds, quality fertilizers, and insecticides, aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and strengthening local food systems.
The programme was facilitated by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Lagos State, whose commitment to grassroots development continues to extend beyond geographical boundaries.

During the sensitization and training session, Dr. Arosanyin presided over the lectures, educating the beneficiaries on modern farming techniques, proper application of fertilizers and insecticides, crop management, soil improvement strategies, and best practices for increasing yield and preserving harvest quality.
In addition, the Co-Coordinator of the Ministry of Agriculture in Kabba delivered an insightful presentation on crop varieties, seed selection, fertilizer usage, and methods to prevent post-harvest losses, equipping the farmers with the knowledge needed for sustainable and profitable farming.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Job Comfort Omolabake, Coordinator for Kabba/Bunu, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. James Abiodun Faleke for his generosity, support, and continued investment in the welfare of rural women farmers. She also commended Dr. Arosanyin and other coordinators for their dedication in ensuring the success of the programme.
This initiative, targeted specifically at women farmers within Kabba/Bunu–Ijumu Federal Constituency, reinforces the importance of collaboration between government institutions and private partners in empowering local farmers, enhancing agricultural productivity, and promoting economic growth.
