The Chairman of the Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Sardaunan Kasar Hausa (OON), has reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government to restoring peace and security across the country, particularly in the Northern region. He emphasized that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is “working tirelessly and leaving no stone unturned” in its efforts to curb insecurity and protect citizens.
Doguwa made the remarks while addressing journalists in Abuja. He noted that the challenges facing the North—ranging from banditry to communal conflicts—are being confronted with renewed energy through enhanced military operations, improved intelligence gathering, and strengthened collaboration between federal and state governments.
According to a statement signed by his spokesperson, Auwal Ali Sufi, Doguwa extended heartfelt sympathy to the governors of Kebbi and Niger States over the recent security breaches affecting their communities. He praised their resilience and cooperation with federal security agencies, assuring them that more decisive support is underway.
He also appealed to citizens across the Northern region to remain steadfast and support ongoing government initiatives. Doguwa urged the public to continue praying for the nation’s leaders, stressing that unity, loyalty, and collective resolve are essential for achieving lasting peace and prosperity.
“As a people, we must remain hopeful and cooperative. Security is a shared responsibility,” he said. “The government is doing its best, but our prayers, patience, and collective goodwill are equally important in overcoming these challenges.”
Doguwa reaffirmed that the federal administration remains committed to ensuring that every Nigerian—regardless of region—enjoys safety, stability, and the dividends of democracy.
