Ijumu Day 2025: Lawmaker, Idris Salman Emphasizes Collective Security Responsibility
The member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency at the National Assembly, Arc. Idris Salman, has stressed that security is a collective responsibility of every individual, not just the government.
He made this statement while addressing newsmen on the sidelines of the Ijumu Day cultural celebration in Iyara, Kogi State.
Salman emphasized that the current security situation requires everyone to play their part by reporting suspicious movements in their vicinity to security agencies.
He described the cultural day celebration as an occasion that brings people together to celebrate their rich cultural heritage and diversity.

He stressed the need to strengthen unity among the people to achieve greater development, commending the Ijumu Development Union, Olujumu of Ijumu, and others who contributed to the success of the event.
