The Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), Delta State Chapter, has extolled His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, former Governor of Delta State, as a dependable patron, a distinguished statesman, and an unwavering pillar of support to the organization.

In a goodwill message marking his 66th birthday, Delta State HOSTCOM noted that under Senator Okowa’s visionary leadership and steadfast commitment, the organization achieved historic milestones, gained significant recognition, and reached a level of institutional stability that was once a distant aspiration.

His Excellency’s selfless contributions, consistent advocacy for host communities, and unwavering support for their development journey remain deeply appreciated and indelibly etched in the hearts of HOSTCOM members.

Speaking during a media briefing in Warri, the Chairman of Delta State HOSTCOM, Senior Comrade Sunday Ndidi Enujeke, described Senator Okowa as “a father worth celebrating,” whose legacy of empowerment, inclusion, and progress continues to inspire and guide the organization.

On the occasion of his 66th birthday, HOSTCOM Delta State proudly celebrates Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as a true friend of the people and a beacon of hope for the host communities of Nigeria’s oil and gas-producing regions.

High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan, Secretary of HOSTCOM Delta State, who also spoke during the media interaction described Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as a rare leader whose humility, foresight, and deep commitment to the advancement of oil and gas producing communities have left an enduring legacy. According to him, Okowa’s engagement with HOSTCOM was not just symbolic but instrumental in shaping meaningful policies that addressed the aspirations of host communities across Delta State.

further noted that the former governor’s inclusive governance style ensured that no community was left behind, emphasizing that his proactive support for HOSTCOM initiatives paved the way for many of the achievements currently being enjoyed. He affirmed that Senator Okowa’s birthday is not just a celebration of age but a commemoration of impact, and he called on leaders across the Niger Delta to emulate his exemplary dedication to grassroots development.
