Gbajabiamila Advises Abejide to Seek Re-election on ADC Platform
Chief of Staff to the President, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, has advised Hon Leke Abejide to seek re-election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in 2027.
Gbajabiamila gave the advice at Abejide’s 20th wedding anniversary and his wife’s 50th birthday celebration, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Center in Abuja.
He urged Abejide not to allow “intruders” into his party, saying he should “fight them, scatter them” to have his way.
The Chief of Staff expressed confidence in Abejide’s leadership, citing his growth in the party despite he contested under an unpopular party in 2019, yet he won.
“He has continued to show capacity, being the only member of ADC in Kogi in 2019 and returning with an additional member in 2023,” Gbajabiamila said.
Gbajabiamila noted that he has known Abejide and his wife for 10 years, describing him as a capable leader who deserves the support of his people.
He urged Abejide’s constituents to give him another term in office, saying he has been a good representative.
The Chief of Staff assured Abejide of government support, with Bala Gombe as the National Chairman of ADC, saying he has the blessings to defend his party.
