Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has intensified efforts to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, as he received today a high-powered delegation of party stakeholders from Idah Local Government Area at the Government House, Lokoja.

The delegation was led by the Chairman of the State Forum of Former Commissioners, Prince Salifu Sanni Ogu, and prominent political figures, including former and serving commissioners, members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, as well as former and serving local government chairmen who had served under APC administrations.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Prince Ogu described the engagement as a strategic step towards strengthening the party’s internal structures, fostering unity among its members and building a formidable grassroots mobilisation network ahead of the 2027 elections.

He explained that the delegation’s mission was to ensure that all critical stakeholders and party members were carried along in the collective effort to consolidate the APC’s political strength across Idah Local Government Area and Kogi State.

According to him, the group was committed to securing overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ododo and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

“Our agenda is to put our house in order ahead of the 2027 general elections. We want everybody to be on board so that we can deliver 100 per cent support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and all APC candidates,” he stated.

Prince Ogu further disclosed that the stakeholders would return to their respective communities to engage major political leaders, opinion moulders and party members across the ten wards of Idah Local Government Area to deepen mobilisation and strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.

He described Governor Ododo as the recognised political leader of the APC in Kogi State, reaffirming the group’s loyalty and commitment to his leadership.

“We are going back home to reach out to our major stakeholders and party members across the ten wards of Idah Local Government. By the grace of God, the sky will be our limit. Success is our goal,” he said.
