Governor Agbu Kefas Meets Diplomatic Community Ahead of Taravest 2025

As part of the buildup to the 2025 Taraba State International Investment Summit, the Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas , yesterday held a high-level strategic meeting with members of the Diplomatic Community at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Abuja.

The engagement was aimed at strengthening international collaboration and attracting global investment into Taraba State ahead of the summit, tagged Taravest 2025, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

According to Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Chairman of the Taravest Planning Committee, this year’s summit is themed: “Unlocking Taraba’s Investment Potentials: Advancing Agriculture, Energy, Mining, and Industrialisation (AEMI) for Sustainable Growth and Development.”

Governor Kefas used the opportunity to present Taraba as Nigeria’s emerging economic hub, rich in natural resources and investment opportunities across key sectors including agriculture, energy, mining, and industrialisation. He emphasized the state’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and building strategic partnerships with global stakeholders.

“The diplomatic community plays a vital role in bridging global investors with emerging markets like Taraba. Our goal is to open our doors wider to the world and position Taraba as Africa’s next big investment frontier,” Dr. Kefas stated.

The meeting was attended by ambassadors, high commissioners, and senior officials from various foreign missions, many of whom expressed interest in the upcoming summit and the possibilities it presents.

Taravest 2025 promises to be a transformative platform that will highlight Taraba’s economic potential and lay the groundwork for sustainable development and prosperity.
