Niger State Government has approved the sum of N1.317 billion for the production of 23,400 chairs by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

The Commissioner further explained that the chairs would have a locker attached, and will be distributed across public schools in the State.

She used the forum to announce that Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has changed the portfolio of Mr. Jonathan Vatsa from the Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership to Media and Publicity.

The Commissioner said he is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear, being a former Commissioner for Information.

She said the administration of Umaru Bago remains committed to citizens’ welfare and engagements in delivering good governance across all sectors.

The Commissioner maintained that the several initiatives launched by the Bago led administration are already yielding positive results.

She urged the citizens to be wary of false narratives and misinformation, adding that the Ministry of Information and Strategy is always open for clarifications and will continue to engage proactively through variable channels.
