Governor Bago Celebrates Dr. Akinwumi Adeshina’s 65th Birthday.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has described the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwumi Adesina as a transformative figure and a driving force behind Africa’s path to sustainable growth.
Governor Mohammed Bago made this known at a grand reception held to celebrate Dr. Adeshina as he clocks 65. The event held at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel, Cotê d’Ivoire, was graced by several dignitaries including Nigeria’s former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, serving Governors from Nigeria, captains of industry, amongst others.
Dr Adeshina, a former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, was elected President of AfDB in 2015, and got re-elected for a second term in 2025. The first Nigerian to hold the coveted post, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina has been at the forefront of championing Africa’s growth and development over the years.
