Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially commissioned a 7.3 km road and solar-powered streetlights project worth over ₦4 billion in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area. The commissioning ceremony, held last night, marked the fulfillment of one of the governor’s key campaign promises.
Speaking at the event, Governor Yusuf expressed his joy in delivering on his commitment to the people of Dawakin Kudu.
“Today, we witness the realization of a commitment made to the people of Dawakin Kudu,” he said. “I am delighted to commission this important project, which will significantly enhance the socioeconomic well-being of the community.”
The road project, revalidated last year under an agreement with H&M Nigeria Limited, was completed as part of the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure across the state. The governor emphasized that the project would ease transportation, boost local businesses, and improve overall living standards for residents.
