Hon. Abdulmaleek Abdulraheem Danga Wins Best House Reps Member in Welfare from North-Central

The Honourable Member representing Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency in Kogi State, Hon. Abdulmaleek Abdulraheem Danga, has been named the Best House of Representatives member in Welfare from the North-Central Zone of Nigeria by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.

According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Hon. Danga’s exceptional commitment to the welfare of his constituents has earned him this recognition, thanks to his open-door policy that has strengthened the bond between him and the people.

He noted with nostalgia Hon. Danga’s leadership skills and contributions to the welfare of his constituents are noteworthy, stressing that some of his achievements include, empowering his constituents through various programs, including cash incentive disbursements, to alleviate the burden of economic hardship.

He has also successfully provided boreholes in different areas of his constituency, improving access to clean water and have hosted iftar events for his constituents, addressing their concerns and promising continued selfless constituency-centred representation.

He said the award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm.

The ceremony will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony, main event, and dinner program, with the theme “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”

The occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television, aimed at promoting democracy and good governance in Nigeria. This event promises to be significant, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.
