The newly inducted Patrons of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Plateau State Council, have been charged to carry out their responsibilities of mentoring and guiding young people with diligence, dedication and integrity.
The charge was given by Hon. Dachung Bagos, the APC candidate for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, who also served as Chairman of the occasion during the investiture of the State Patrons held at the Chapel of Grace, Government House, Rayfield, Jos.
The occasion attracted dignitaries from all walks of life who gathered to celebrate the new patrons and support the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria in its commitment to youth development and Christian values.
According to Bagos, while the appointment is fundamentally a call to serve God and humanity, it also comes with the responsibility of mentoring and guiding the younger generation.
“Inasmuch as it is a call to serve God and humanity, it is also a service and a duty to mentor the younger generation. We are excited about the calibre of personalities who are here and have been called to serve. Therefore, the responsibility should be carried out with passion and dedication,” he said.
Bagos urged the newly inducted patrons to always seek the face of God for guidance as they undertake the responsibility of mentoring young people.
He also encouraged the patrons and parents to prioritise raising children in the ways of God and ensuring that they grow up with strong moral and Christian values.
He stressed that effective mentorship and guidance require patience, commitment and dedication.
Bagos congratulated the newly inducted patrons on their appointments and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria.
