Hon Clement Ofovwi aka General Oloye Hails Governor Oborevwori’ Over Uromi
Junction Flyover

By Wilson Macaulay

Hon. Clement Ofovwi aka General Oloye, Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, have. hailed Oborevwori over Flyover Project at Uromi Junction

In what he described as one of the most visionary and people-focused infrastructural interventions in the history of Delta State, Hon. Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, commended the Governor for the ongoing flyover project at the ever-busy Uromi Junction.
Speaking during an on-the-spot assessment of the project, Hon. Ofovwi hailed Governor Oborevwori’s leadership as strategic, responsive, and transformational, noting that the Uromi Junction flyover is not just a road project but a bold statement of the administration’s commitment to safety, economic growth, and urban renewal.
According to him, the Uromi Junction had for decades remained a notorious traffic choke-point and accident-prone axis, linking major commercial and residential corridors within the state. He noted that the flyover, when completed, will significantly decongest traffic, reduce travel time, curb road accidents, and improve the overall security architecture of the area.
“This flyover project is a classic example of governance with foresight,” Hon. Ofovwi stated. “Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has once again demonstrated that he listens to the people and acts decisively. The Uromi Junction has long been a nightmare for motorists, commuters, and security operatives. This intervention will save lives, boost commerce, and enhance effective security patrols.”
The security aide emphasized that infrastructure and security are inseparable, stressing that improved road networks enhance rapid response, surveillance, and crime prevention. He added that the flyover will aid security agencies in swift deployment and intelligence-led operations across adjoining communities.
Hon. Ofovwi further described the project as a landmark legacy initiative under the MORE Agenda of the Oborevwori administration, aligning perfectly with the pillars of Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
He applauded the quality of work being carried out by the contractors, urging them to maintain high standards and adhere strictly to project timelines. He also called on residents and road users to cooperate with construction teams and exercise patience, noting that temporary inconvenience will give way to lasting benefits.
“Governor Oborevwori is redefining governance through action, not rhetoric,” he added. “This flyover stands as proof that Delta State is steadily moving towards modern urban infrastructure comparable to global best practices.”
Residents, traders, and commuters around the Uromi Junction have equally expressed optimism, describing the project as long overdue. Many noted that the flyover will stimulate local businesses, improve property values, and project Delta State as an investor-friendly destination.
Hon. Clement Ofovwi concluded by reaffirming his unwavering support for Governor Oborevwori’s administration, assuring Deltans that the Governor remains fully committed to delivering people-centered projects that promote safety, prosperity, and sustainable development across the state.
As the Uromi Junction flyover steadily rises, it stands not only as concrete and steel but as a powerful symbol of purpose-driven leadership and a government determined to work for the people of Delta State.
