The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Arc. Aminu Dabo, has called on young people across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state to remain united and committed to the party’s vision as preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during an engagement with APC supporters and youths, Dabo urged party members to work collectively towards the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, saying sustained unity within the party would be critical to achieving electoral success.

According to Dabo, a former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, the administration of President Tinubu has recorded notable progress in several sectors of national development despite the economic and security challenges confronting the country.

He acknowledged that insecurity remains one of the most pressing concerns facing Nigerians, particularly in the North-West geopolitical zone. However, he expressed confidence that the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to restore peace and strengthen security across affected communities.
“Security is a challenge that concerns every Nigerian, especially our people in the North-West. We are optimistic that with the ongoing efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the support of citizens, lasting peace and security will be achieved by the grace of God,” Dabo said.

The APC chieftain stressed that political unity, peaceful engagement, and active youth participation remain essential ingredients for sustainable development and democratic progress. He encouraged young people to continue playing constructive roles in governance while remaining committed to peaceful political participation.

Dabo, who also served as Commissioner for Lands in Kano State, commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as commendable strides in education, healthcare delivery, water supply, agriculture, youth empowerment, job creation, and economic development.
He noted that many residents, particularly young people, have acknowledged the impact of these initiatives on their daily lives, adding that development should remain the priority of every elected leader irrespective of political affiliation.

Speaking on representation at the federal level, Dabo praised the Deputy President of the Senate and Senator representing Kano North Senatorial District, DSP Dr. Barau I. Jibrin, for what he described as outstanding developmental interventions across the 13 Local Government Areas of the district.
According to him, Senator Barau has facilitated numerous constituency projects, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, provision of potable water through boreholes, support for healthcare facilities, renovation of schools, transportation assistance, and the development of sporting infrastructure.

He further highlighted the senator’s educational initiatives, particularly scholarship opportunities for students to pursue studies abroad, alongside agricultural support programmes through fertilizer distribution and various empowerment schemes designed to improve livelihoods.

Dabo also applauded the senator’s monthly financial support programme for youths and women across the district, describing it as a practical demonstration of responsive and people-oriented leadership that has positively impacted many families.

The APC leader called on elected officials at both the National Assembly and the Kano State House of Assembly to remain dedicated to quality representation, effective service delivery, and the promotion of policies that improve the welfare of the people.

He emphasized that the success of the APC in future elections would depend on unity, discipline, grassroots mobilization, and sustained engagement with citizens, particularly young people who constitute a significant voting population.

In his closing remarks, Dabo expressed appreciation to APC members and supporters across Kano State for their loyalty and continued commitment to the party. He urged them to remain focused, united, and law-abiding while working toward strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Political observers note that as the 2027 election season gradually approaches, party leaders across the country have intensified consultations and grassroots mobilization efforts, with youth engagement expected to play a decisive role in shaping the political landscape.
