Delta South Senatorial hopeful and renowned medical practitioner, Hon. Dr. Austin Orette, M.D., has expressed gratitude after being honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
Speaking through his representative, Rev. Fr. Dr. Benedict Elozino Ferife (JCD, LCD), Dr. Orette described the recognition as a profound honour and an affirmation of his decades of service in healthcare, humanitarian work, and public service across Nigeria, Namibia, and the United States.

“I receive this honour with humility, knowing that a life of service is not measured by the recognition one receives, but by the lives one is privileged to touch and the difference one is able to make,” he stated.
The medical doctor and 2027 ADC Senatorial Candidate for Delta South Senatorial District said the award does not belong to him alone, but to his colleagues, family, friends, and communities who have supported his journey. He reiterated his commitment to service-driven leadership, quoting his guiding philosophy: _“When a leader’s dreams become the people’s dreams, true leadership begins.”_
Dr. Orette commended Democracy Newsline Newspaper and the award committee for the honour, noting that he views it not as the conclusion of his work but as renewed motivation to serve humanity with greater commitment, compassion, and humility.
He dedicated the award to “everyone who believes in the possibility of a better society and who continues to work, in whatever capacity, for the good of humanity.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr. Orette in recognition of his outstanding contributions to healthcare delivery and community development over the years.
