BY ABUBAKAR YUSUF

For Kamoru Ogunlana, the new Clerk to the National Assembly’s, CNA’s strong believe in seamless performance of duties by staffers is unwavering, anticipating dint of hardwork, devoid of cutting corners in line with the tenets of the new order and digital era.

One year down the line , the Clerk to the National Assembly,CNA as part of his mandate has promoted all round capacity building of staffers and legislative aides , prioritised staff welfare, initiatives and innovations, and also made series of proposals that has improved the welfare of workers and legislative aides at the National Assembly.

The positive development is in line with also improving the process of lawmaking at the red chamber with 109 senators and also the 360 green chamber, House of Representatives members .

The recent moves by the management of the National Assembly under Kamoru Ogunlana as Clerk to the Assembly, CNA was unique particularly with the view to curbing the proliferation of fake and adulterated news capable of overheating the polity, and portraying the legislative arm of government in bad light.

The creation of a one stop shop of passing information to the National Assembly community and the country at large through digitisation that is now the order of the day in the country , world over cannot be overemphasized.

His desire to reward diligence, hardwork and dedication to duty enabled a strong view of not only establishing a digital outfit geared towards churning out accurate, refined, current and time tested information to the stakeholders of the National Assembly and the country at large.

The digital newsroom platform, first of its kind will also promote efficiency, public engagement, debuted new era of legislative communication and policy implementation.

According to Kamoru, the new digital facility will guarantee transparency, strengthen public engagement and also promote the image of the National Assembly with the deployment of legislative information adequately , timely , professionally and otherwise.

The new platform will also nip in the bud and reduced to the barest minimum, misinformation and misplacement of information churned out and it’s reliability.

With the new era of digital information, no doubt the National Assembly programs of activities is now accessible and assesible in all ramifications to the public.
