Itobe Day 2025: Kogi Deputy Gov Calls for Sustained Unity of the Community
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, on Tuesday made a brief stop at the Itobe Day 2025 celebration to felicitate with the community, while on an official journey.
He was accompanied by the Member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. David Idris Zacharias; the Director General, Community Watch and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa; the National President of Ejule Forum, Mr. Wisdom Achimugu; and other dignitaries.
The event brought together sons and daughters of Itobe community, both at home and in the diaspora, to celebrate their unity, cultural heritage, and shared progress, while also discussing challenges facing the community with a view to finding lasting solutions.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor expressed happiness over the level of unity among the people, noting that no meaningful development can take place without unity. He urged the community to continue to live in peace and harmony, describing unity as a key driver of growth and prosperity.
Comrade Joel Salifu also conveyed the warm greetings of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to the people of Itobe, wishing them a joyful and a happy New Year in advance. He prayed that the coming year would bring peace, joy, and greater progress to the community.
