In a show of strength and solidarity, the Jos North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) EXCO, led by Chairman Hon. Elijah Azi Itsegok, unanimously and unconditionally endorsed the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, for a second tenure. The endorsement was accompanied by a vote of confidence in the governor’s leadership qualities and unprecedented performance.
The gathering, which was akin to a carnival, featured party faithfuls carrying flags and enjoying music at the Ornat Pavilion in Jos. In his welcoming remarks, Chairman Itsegok extended a warm welcome to both decampees and returnees, attributing the party’s success to the massive developmental projects in the locality, courtesy of the Jos North Local Government Area Chairman and Governor Mutfwang’s efforts.
Itsegok assured all members of equal treatment, emphasizing that the PDP umbrella is wide and strong enough to accommodate everyone. The Chairman of the locality, Barrister J.K. Christ, commended the party and organizers for setting a pace in Jos North Local Government Area, urging members to remain faithful to the party and avoid anti-party activities.
The event featured speeches from various party leaders and political office holders, including the Deputy Chairman, Pharmacist Samuel Chung; Secretary, Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Hon. Bashir Datti; Liaison Officer to the Governor, Jos North West, Hon. Danjuma Azi; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Job Ayuba Izang; former commissioners, advisers, councilors, party stalwarts, women, and youth groups, among others.
