Jos South/ Jos East Unites In Sports

Fobur Town, Jos East Local Government Area, Plateau State, was abuzz with excitement as supporters and associates of Chief Engineer Arum Ajiji organised a 20-kilometre marathon race between Jos South and Jos East LGAs.
The event aimed to foster unity among youths from diverse backgrounds.
Speaking at the event, Mr Agwom Galadima, Secretary of the organising committee, said the competition sought to bridge ethnic and religious divides.
Deputy Director of Sports, Plateau State, Mr Wilfred Sale Kumtong, praised the event, saying it brought youths together and should be made annual.
Chief Engineer Arum Ajiji, a philanthropist and APC aspirant for House of Representatives, Jos South/East Federal Constituency, sponsored the event to promote sports diversification and discover hidden talents. He declared December 29th an annual marathon date.
Winners received prizes and cash rewards:
– Male category: Gyang Boyi (1st, ₦80,000), Yakubu Pam Monday (2nd, ₦60,000), Monday Pam (3rd, ₦40,000)
– Female category: Gyang Esther (1st, ₦80,000), Dachung Sambo Vera David (2nd, ₦60,000), Boyi Teyei (3rd, ₦40,000)
The event featured dancing groups and attracted dignitaries, including traditional rulers and sports enthusiasts.
