Just In: Tribunal Sacks Labour Party, House of Reps Member from Kaduna, Donatus Mathew, declares PDP’s Gwani as winner
The Kaduna State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has sacked the Popular Okada Rider who won House of Reps election, Hon Donatus Mathew from the House of Representatives and declared the PDP candidate as winner.
The Tribunal held that the Labour Party did not comply with the provisions of the electoral Act.
Donatus who was known for his motorcycle transporter business was declared the winner of the election on Sunday night.
Although the LP candidate had served as a Councillor in his ward, he was reduced to an okada rider due to hardship.
The Labour Party garnered 10,466 votes to defeat the 9,828 received by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
