Kabba/Bunu APC Chairmanship: Otu Ward Endorses Hon Olorunsaiye Sunday aka Regards
Ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress’s Local Government Congress scheduled to hold next month, party executives and stakeholders have unanimously endorsed the aspiration of the current chairman, who doubles as the forum chairman, Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Hon Olorunsaiye Sunday aka Regards, for the position of party chairman for the local government.
The meeting, which unanimously endorsed him for the position, stressed that it is the turn of Otu Ward to produce the party chairman at the local level. According to them, Hon Olorunsaiye possesses the requisite experience and expertise, being the outgoing chairman of chairmen in the Local Government, and his huge contributions to the overall development of the party since its inception in 2014 as a foundation member.
“Hon Olorunsaiye Sunday is a grassroots politician who possesses the capacity and capability to move the party forward,” the ward acknowledged, noting that Hon Olorunsaiye Sunday is a man for all and not for anyone, assuring that he will manage the party to the admiration of the leadership.
They said he will administer the party in a manner that will be transparent, fair, and just, to carry all members along. They urged the leadership of the party in Kabba/Bunu to believe and have faith in his leadership, demonstrating fairness, equity, and justice, and that Otu Ward deserves to be given the opportunity in the old Ward C of Kabba district.
The ward stated that no individual owns the party at the ward level, pointing out that all aspirants for different positions should feel free to interact, which will enhance the upliftment of the ward.
Present at the meeting were Chief Julius Arokoyo, Hon. Raphael Ojo, Hon Ben Olorunsaiye, Ward Councilor, Hon (Mrs) Lola Otitoyomi, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Rev. Femi Maiye, Women Leader, Mrs Esther Peters, all party executives, and other stakeholders, while Pastor Samuel Ajinuhi, who could not attend, but made phone call to eulogize both party executives and stakeholders for their steadfastness in working for the progress of the party.
