Kogi Bassa Youths 4+4 Honour Gov. Ododo with Award of Excellence at OJN Symposium
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State was on Monday presented with an Award of Excellence by the ODODO Bassa Youths 4+4 group for his contributions to youth development and good governance in the state.
The award was presented to the governor, described as “the chief servant of Kogi State,” during the 7th Annual Symposium of the Okun Youth Network, OJN, held at the Kay Galaxy Event Centre in Lokoja.
According to the organizers, the recognition was in appreciation of Governor Ododo’s leadership and commitment to the welfare of Kogi youths.
The ODODO Bassa Youths 4+4, a support group drawn from Bassa Local Government Area, said the award was also a vote of confidence in the administration’s policies aimed at empowering young people across the state.
The OJN 7th Annual Symposium brought together youth leaders, stakeholders, and community representatives from across Kogi West and other parts of the state to discuss issues of unity, development, and political participation ahead of 2027.
Dignitaries at the event commended the youth group for identifying and celebrating excellence in public service.
Governor Ododo was represented at the symposium by top government officials.
The presentation adds to a series of recognitions the governor has received from various youth and community groups in the state since assuming office.
