Kogi East 2027: Halims, Who the Cap Fits ,

By now , the people of Kogi East are abreast with the developmental strides and exposure of the Deputy House Leader, House of Representatives, Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims both in politics, administration, the private sector and now the public sector .
Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims wealth of experience speaks volumes having started his early life as civil servant and retired to establish a well thriving businesses.

In his early life , he worked with the Nigerian Coal Corporation , NCC , okaba zonal office and later at the headquarters in Enugu, under the then Federal Ministry of Power and Steel Development from the early 80s and 2000.
He worked and served with the then Minister’s area office in Enugu and retired as personal assistant and personnel manager to form his own conglomerate, Halims Petroleum Nigeria Limited.
An employer of labour for over three decades , Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali established filling stations in Enugu , Otukpa Branch , Makurdi, Ankpa and Lokoja and employed many Nigerians namely both in the then Enugu , Benue and now Kogi state.
With a thriving business Initiatives, the lawmaker also opened up offices in Enugu Depot of NNPC, Makurdi Depot, Calabar Depot, Port Harcourt and Warri refinery , Suleija and Calabar were fuels were been loaded for onward distribution to his outlets and sales to other outlets and the general public.
With his presence in this depots , he employed suitable Nigerians in each of the depots who took charge of purchases, despatches and sales of the products raging from PMS, AGO and DPK and by general acronym , Fuel , Diesel and Gas to the general public.
His distribution axis covered up till Makurdi, the now Benue state capital , Lafia , Nassarawa state , Lokoja, Kogi state and up till Ilorin in Kwara state .
The chain of distribution was made easier having employed workers who stationed in the depots or carry out the assignment as instructed by their Boss, Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims.
Having achieved greatly in private businesses, particularly Petroleum and Gas , the lawmaker was also called upon by his people of Ankpa 1 Federal Constituency in the Kogi state House of Assembly were he represented the area for one term .
The Deputy House Leader in his quest to better the lots of his people became Chairman, Board , Kogi State Water Corporation, KSWC that maintained free of charge portable water distribution and management of Greater Lokoja water works established by the former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
He ensured the constant maintenance and distribution of free portable water to the state capital and it’s metropolis for many years that is now history.
Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali was also called upon for the second time by his people to represent them at the upper chamber at the House of Representatives in 2019-2023 were he also performed distinctly to the satisfaction of electorates that led to his releection in 2023.
As a ranking member of the House of Representatives, he became Chairman , House Committee on Steel Development , 2019-2023 and his second coming he became the Deputy House Leader, House of Representatives, the fourth on the role of leadership in the House .
In the last six years, Halims has committed over 15 Billion Naira and beyond to Constituency projects , development, empowerment, capacity building, employment opportunities and charity beyond a serving senators performance in the last six years.
His determination to continue to serve his people at both level either in the current House of Representatives or Senate is non- contestable as he is ripe fully fit from public opinion and performance in the last six years.
In the Legislative arm of government, Halims is the first igala man from Kogi to occupy the strategic position which has exposed him to other areas in the executive arm of government.
No doubt his presence in all important government functions and activities was part of his commitment to develop Ankpa federal constituency,Kogi East , Kogi state and Nigeria at large.
The opportunity garnered through his experiences cannot be waived for a new comer , as he stands the chance of emergence as principal officers again in the next dispensation both at the House of Representatives and Senate .
Therefore, from both angles, Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims possessed the qualities , experiences, enability above all contestants from and for Kogi East Senate in the All progressives Congress, APC.
