Kogi East , Halims as the Deciding Factor ,

BY ABUBAKAR YUSUF

No doubt politics is local, a game of numbers and popularity in all areas and practices.

Therefore, going by performance, popularity, assesibility and accessibility, Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim, Halims Ali is a candidate to beat in the next general elections in 2027 for Kogi east Senate .

Having Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims as the next Kogi East Senator is non debatable, incontrovertible and desiring in all ramifications considering all the indices.

Rt Honorable Halims is popular and his performance both at the 9th and the current 10th Assembly has overshoot all other elected senators, and members of the House of Representatives from Kogi state.

Having him as the senator representing Kogi East will be the best thing that will happen to the area , particularly his outstanding performance and political experience.

The House of Representatives member who is not a new comer in both Kogi and national politics , no doubt will override the first timer and second fiddle in the next dispensation.

For Halims , the option of continuity and elevation to the Senate is somewhat automatic, particularly his performance as a lawmaker in the last six years.

With Honorary Doctorate Degree in Legislative affairs and activities from Prince Abubakar Audu University PAAU, no doubt it is a round peg in a round hole in the current and subsequent dispensation.

No doubt the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Honorable Tajudeen Abbas announced at the floor of the House with a pronouncement, that Rt Honorable Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims is now their ‘senior’ both in performance, rankings and qualifications.

The onus now lie in the people of Kogi East , Kogi state and Ankpa Federal Constituency to embrace continuity and leadership at the 11th Senate .

For Halims , he is prepared for service to humanity in all areas of our local and national life .
