Kogi Government Makes Fresh Breakthrough in Crackdown on Kidnapping Informants
The Kogi State Government has announced a significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat insecurity in Okunland.
In a press statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, it was revealed that Babatunde Aledare, a suspected kidnapping informant arrested in Ayetoro Kiri, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of the state, has made confessional statements revealing the identities of other collaborators involved in aiding kidnapping operations.
Following Aledare’s confession, two more informants have been arrested in the last 48 hours: Dare Okegbe, A resident of Ayetoro Kiri who allegedly collaborated with kidnappers to set up community members for abduction.
Lakutu Omobab Ajelesimi, also from Ayetoro Kiri community, he confessed to working with kidnappers to facilitate abductions in the area.
The Kogi State Government remains committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens and will leave no stone unturned in the fight against criminality.
